If Only
I saw an interesting movie tonight. 'The Book of Eli.' The book was the Bible, and everyone wanted it. There had been a great war and the whole earth was in shambles. There was only one copy of the Bible (although they didn't tell you it was the Bible until the end) left, and everyone wanted to get their hands on it. Eli (the main character) had it, and he read it everyday. Late in the movie you realize that he has the entire Bible memorized. If only we desired the Bible the way the characters in this movie desired it. If only we would commit it to memory like Eli does in the movie. What would our world be like? What would our churches be like? If only...
